Terms of Service

FindLawyer is a technology service that analyzes a description of a legal issue and suggests an attorney listing that appears to match it. FindLawyer is not a law firm, is not a lawyer referral service licensed by any bar association, and does not practise law.

Nothing on this site is legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is created between you and FindLawyer at any point.

Case analysis is available without an account. An account is required to complete a contact unlock so your purchases can be preserved. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.

A contact unlock is a one-time purchase that grants permanent access to one attorney's full name, firm, phone number, email address and office address. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Payments are processed by Stripe. FindLawyer never receives or stores your card details. Access is granted only after Stripe confirms the payment through a signed webhook.

Because an unlock delivers digital information immediately, unlocks are generally non-refundable. If an unlock fails to deliver the contact details, or you were charged in error, contact support and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.

A match you disagree with is not a defect: you can run additional case analyses free of charge at any time.

You may not scrape, resell, republish or bulk-extract attorney data, attempt to bypass the paywall, submit unlawful content, or use the service to harass any person or firm.

The service is provided "as is". Matching output is produced by an automated system and may be incomplete or wrong. You are solely responsible for vetting any attorney, verifying their licensure with the relevant state bar, and deciding whom to retain.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindLawyer's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to FindLawyer in the twelve months before the claim.
